What is BSD?

BSDCan - The BSD Conference

Come join us at the 18th annual BSDCan!

BSDCan, a BSD conference held in Ottawa, Canada, quickly established itself as the technical conference for people working on and with 4.4BSD based operating systems and related projects. The organizers have found a fantastic formula that appeals to a wide range of people from extreme novices to advanced developers.

When?

  • Tutorials: June 1-2 2022 (Wed/Thu) (NOTE: nothing on Wednesday this year, only Thursday)
  • Conference: June 3-4 2022 (Fri/Sat)

These are the links for the various streams.

There are no Zoom sessions available.

Warning

We are monitoring restrictions imposed upon travel and events with respect with COVID-19. While we hope that we can meet in person, circumstances can change quickly. We will be following the recommendations of local, provincial, and federal health organisations. For example, be prepared to wear a mask at all times within the conference if that is the recommendation. There will be zero tolerance for not following the guidelines. Sure, we are asking you to agree to things we don't know yet. We're reasonable. You're reasonable. We'll figure it out and we'll all be happy.

NOTE

This year the conference will be held online. If you read something on the website which conflicts with this, please take this notice as overiding what you see elsewhere.

Location

  • This year, online, but usually at University of Ottawa, in the DMS (Desmarais) building.
  • See map for location
